Update notes for Countryball: World 1930 version 0.3.0
Massive update bringing AI upgrades, general system overhaul, new buildings, deeper combat mechanics, and major bug fixes for a smoother and more strategic experience.
🌟 Features
- Added full general system: generals can now be recruited, renamed, and can die in battle
- New Gamemodes: Conquest and Madness
- New Building: Bank
- Reworked combat: attackers now strike first
- AI overhaul: smarter strategic decisions, improved conquest behavior
- Added logic for automatic capturing of empty territories
- Expanded loot system: more map resources, weapons, items and collectibles
- Winning a battle now grants 3 star
- Get a warning at turn start if any of your territories are under attack
- General readiness popup added at turn start
- Add general renaming system
- Add General unit set – generals only recruit from designated units
- Limit max general count based on number of territories
- AI now attacks rebel territories before enemy ones
- Population requirement: soldiers and generals can't be recruited without sufficient population
⚙️ Tweaks & Enhancements
- Enemy can now recruit generals too
- Gold ores now gain value when sent to the bank
- Tax increases based on number of buildings in a territory
- Food production from Apple Farms now scales dynamically
- Graphical improvements made on the map
- Improved Game Mode selection UI
- Designed new after-combat panel showing battle earnings, losses, and scrap metal
- Designed UI for the new Bank building
🐞 Bug Fixes
Critical:
- Combat sometimes still gets stuck – further stabilized
- You couldn't attack rebels in Conquest and Madness modes – now fixed
- Losing a defensive battle on your own territory would instantly end the game – resolved
- If an invasion fails and you have no fallback territory, your country was being wiped – fixed
General Fixes:
- Defense stat wasn't working properly in combat – now functional
- Crit chance wasn't applying in combat – corrected
- You couldn't exit battle screen using the X button – fixed
- Generals capturing cities no longer trigger movement bugs if nearby main forces are idle
- Moving into a captured territory no longer consumes energy
- Canceling a building now refunds coins correctly
- Tax and food consumption settings now save properly
- Minigame Barracks stat icons are now displayed correctly
